Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) gives travelers the ultimate flexibility to cancel their trip for any reason and still receive compensation.Whether your plans change unexpectedly or you simply reconsider your trip, CFAR ensures peace of mind and financial security.
Why Is It Worth Adding to My Booking?
Unlike standard insurance, which requires specific reasons like medical emergencies, CFAR lets you cancel your trip for personal reasons—whether it’s a change of plans, a work conflict, or simply not feeling ready to travel. With CFAR, you can cancel for any reason—no proof or explanation needed. This makes it the ideal choice for travelers who want full control over their plans.
CFAR may be valuable for you if you are:
✔ A frequent traveler needing flexible cancellation options beyond strict policies.
✔ A business professional facing unpredictable schedule changes.
✔ A parent dealing with sudden shifts in family plans or health issues.
✔ Concerned about global events and seeking peace of mind with the freedom to cancel for any reason.
How Does It Work?
① Secure Your Flexibility – Add CFAR at checkout for peace of mind.
② Stay in Control – Cancel your flight by contacting Customer Care at least 48 hours before departure.
③ Get Your Compensation – Get 80% of your ticket value as a cash refund or receive 100% of your ticket value as airline credit.
Credits can be fully applied to the same airline, route, and passengers and remain valid for one year from the original booking date.
- Refunds issued as cash will be processed within 15 days from the date of the request and will be transferred to the original form of payment.
- Refunds issued as airline credits will be deposited into your personal account. These credits are valid for one year from the original booking date. When rebooking, you will need to pay any fare difference and any applicable airline penalties. Additionally, the credit must be used for the same airline, route, and passengers.
Changes and cancellations
Making a Change
CFAR does not cover flight modifications, such as date or route changes. If you need to modify your trip, standard airline policies apply. The plan does not apply to tickets changed or canceled directly with the airline. In such cases, the plan is considered no longer applicable.
If the airline makes schedule changes, CFAR remains active. However, if you voluntarily rebook your flight, the plan will be considered used and will not transfer to the new booking.
Canceling Your Trip
To cancel, contact Customer Care at least 48 hours before departure. If eligible, you will receive either 100% airline credit (if available) or an 80% cash refund. The plan is considered used and non-refundable in the case of full refunds being issued by the airline due to involuntary flight cancellations because of airline schedule changes, irregular operations, or other unforeseen circumstances*
“Unforeseen circumstances” means any extraordinary event beyond the reasonable control of an airline. This includes but is not limited to, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, cyclones, thunderstorms, blizzards, volcanic eruptions, high winds, excessive precipitation, wildfires, civil disorder and unrest, political instability, quarantine, aircraft maintenance problems, and security issues.
The Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) is non-refundable once purchased.
Need to know
The cancellation request must be made at least 48 hours prior to your first scheduled departure. Once the 48-hour limit prior to the first departure has passed, the plan will be considered consumed, and airline-imposed fare rules will apply.
FAQ
When is CFAR better than standard travel insurance?
CFAR is best if you want full flexibility to cancel for any reason without providing proof. Travel insurance only covers cancellations for specific events like medical emergencies or severe weather. Choose CFAR for freedom to cancel anytime, and travel insurance for emergency protection.
What happens if I cancel less than 48 hours before departure?
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure are not eligible for a refund or airline credit.
Can I cancel only part of my trip and receive compensation?
CFAR applies to the entire booking and does not support partial cancellations. If you cancel, the policy covers all tickets in the reservation. Airline credits or refunds will be issued based on the full ticket cost, not a portion of the trip.
How long does it take to receive a refund?
Cash refunds are processed within 15 days and returned to your original payment method. Airline credits are issued immediately after Customer Care processes your cancellation request and are valid for one year.
Can I transfer my airline credit to someone else?
No, airline credits are non-transferable and must be used by the same passengers for the same airline and route.
